Green Dubai World Forum 2008, is held in
commemoration of the anniversary of the historic
declaration on Green Dubai 2008, made on 24th
October 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister
of the UAE & Ruler of Dubai. This historic
declaration has enabled Dubai to take Global
Leadership in sustainable development in light of
global climate change crisis threatening Mankind.

New resolution on green
building specifications by Dubai Ruler
WAM DUBAI, Oct. 24th, 2007: A new resolution
on the implementation of green building
specifications and standards in the emirate
of Dubai has been issued Wednesday by H.H.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and
Ruler of Dubai. As per the new resolution,
effective January 2008, all owners of
residential and commercial buildings and
properties in the emirate of Dubai must
comply with the internationally recognized
environment friendly specifications to turn
Dubai into a healthy city that meets the
demands of best practices and benchmarks of
pollution-free sustainable development.
